Hold Interviews with Important People
When looking at potential interviewees, look for people who are already doing work within your target field or subject for your podcast. If you are discussing cats, you might want to interview a veterinarian when your podcast is on health issues. However, if your podcast were on fancy show-quality cats, you'd want to talk to someone who either breeds awarding cats or showcases award-winning cats. It may be difficult to gather interviewees at first because people have not heard of you yet and you have very little to show them in terms of how successful your podcast is or how many viewers/subscribers you have. The other key thing to consider when holding interviews is to make sure that you have relevant questions which are going to produce interesting answers that your listeners are going to want to hear.
